You should recently have received an email from the LTA asking you to ‘opt in’ to the Wimbledon Ticket ballot if you wish to be considered for Wimbledon tickets next Summer. You also need to check that you are linked to Cranleigh LT&SC – not Cranleigh in Surrey for instance or anywhere else in the country. PLEASE OPT IN TO THE BALLOT via the LTA website – EVEN IF YOU DON’T WANT A TICKET AS IT AFFECTS OUR ALLOCATION OF TICKETS. It doesn’t mean you have to buy a ticket if you don’t want to. It is good for the Club to have as many British Tennis Members as possible, as we then get a higher allocation of tickets, so please encourage your friends to sign up and link themselves to Cranleigh. Our LTA Club Code is -SUR 036. If in doubt, please ask for help – or speak to Grant…

If you are a member of Cranleigh LT&SC, either a player or a social member or a parent of a child who is a member and receives coaching at Cranleigh LT&SC we like you to be more involved.   You would have received an email about the parents meeting and how we are a club run by volunteers and would like to have some extra help to run YOUR CLUB.   On Tuesday 21st October at 7.30pm we will have another meeting to discuss ideas and put an action plan together on how we can move the club forward and it would be great if you could attend and maybe offer some ideas to enhance the use of the club and add some social events. Even if you can just make it for 20mins, it would be great to see you supporting the club.   From this meeting we would like to:…

Cranleigh Lawn Tennis and Social Club is glad to welcome new coach, Brian Griffen. Brian has been involved in tennis both as a player and a coach for over 30 years. With his friendly personality and relaxed attitude, Brian quickly builds rapport with the children and adults he works with.

Letter from Head Coach, Grant: Dear Cranleigh Members, When I started at Cranleigh, one of the main objectives was to increase the competitive opportunites for adults and juniors. We entered 4 Junior Teams into the Aegon Team Tennis, increased singles match play by setting up the Box Leagues, had more junior events in the Club Championships and I ran junior competitions throughout Spring Half Term. In an effort to continue to increase the competition at Cranleigh, I have put together a competition schedule for the rest of the year. Brian who is our new coach will be helping to run these events and he may contact you once I receive your entry confirmation. All entries should be in a week before the event, except for the Mini Red next Saturday. Saturday 27th September.
