Cranleigh has lots of exciting plans for the coming year and, new or existing member, we would be delighted if you can join us! Here is the Cranleigh Membership Renewal Form for 2017-18 (pdf).
Cranleigh is excited to announce we will be hosting an open day on May 13.
Tennis sessions will run throughout the morning and the afternoon and there will be membership and coaching deals available throughout the weekend.
Book your free spot on tennis coaching, mini and junior tennis, pilates, free play or family time here.
Our ever favourite quizmasters Dick Bywaters and Becky Cawley/Ryder are back with a new general knowledge quiz on Saturday 18 February!
Please arrive at 7.30 pm for a prompt start at 7.45. The £10 entry includes the fish & chips supper (or sausage & chips).
All proceeds are for club funds for re-surfacing the courts. So PLEASE come and support your club and have a fun night out.
Tickets are on sale from the bar – or by email – and there will be a list of attendees on the social notice board. They must be paid for by 14 February please.
Cranleigh would love to see you, whether you’re a newcomer or existing member, at our open day this weekend!
It runs from 10am on Saturday (9th) and Sunday and features many different opportunities to get on court and a chance to try pilates.
Please take a look at this link to book your spot here.
Food and drink will also be available on the day and we will be showing the men’s and women’s Wimbledon finals on our big screen (featuring Murray hopefully!).
This summer we will again be hosting our popular club tournament, with nine different categories.
Players arrange their own games up until the final and the tournament culminates with the finals weekend on July 16 and 17, where there is a BBQ and people come to enjoy the sunshine and the tennis in the beer garden.
The categories are: men’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s singles, women’s doubles, mixed doubles, veterans’ (45 and over) singles, veteran’s doubles, star juniors (u18) boys, and star juniors girls.
When entering, please bear in mind the possibility of playing multiple games in one day on finals day.
If you do not have a partner for a doubles entry, please enter anyway and we will try to find you a partner.
Please email your entries, or any queries, to club captain Joel Durston at email@example.com . The deadline for entries is the end of May.
Come and try out a tennis session, meet our members, use our facilities and pick up fantastic membership and coaching deals throughout the Great British Tennis Weekend!
We are excited to be hosting a race night on Saturday 13 February at 7 30.
Tickets are £7 for adults and £3 for children and can be bought from Chris Roe or the bar staff. The price includes light buffet and there will also be a fully licensed cash bar and a raffle.
You can also ‘buy’ a horse for £3 – if you do this in advance, your horse’s name will appear on the programme. All owners of winning horses will win a prize.
There will be 8 races during the evening each with 8 horses – so there will be lots of opportunities to place your bets, at 50p each, and win some money!

Just a reminder: Normal Openings for the bar outside Christmas and New Year: Sundays- 12-8pm; Tuesdays – 7.30-11pm; Thursdays 7.30-11pm; Fridays 7.30-11pm; Saturdays 7.30-11pm.
We are also open on alternate Mondays evenings – when the darts team is playing. Check the days on the noticeboard by the dartboards.
Sorry we will NOT be opening the bar/clubhouse on Wednesday evenings on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve as many regulars have other plans this year and we cannot justify opening the bar and risk making a loss.
Next year, we plan to run more social events – it isn’t too late for you to be part of this – the more help and ideas we have the better the programme. We are all volunteers, but we have a great set up with bar, garden and club house and people willing to help at events.
Have a very Happy Christmas and all good wishes for 2015,
Christine Roe (07753104478) and all the committee
