Never mind about Wimbledon, Cranleigh’s Annual Tennis Championships finals are on Sunday 13 July. (There may be a match or two as well on Saturday 12 July (TBA)).
The full details of events will follow, but the normal timetable is that matches start at 10am with over 45s and juniors; 11.30- Ladies Singles; 1pm Mens Singles; 2.30 Ladies Doubles; 4pm – Men’s Doubles. The Mixed is normally on the Saturday, depending on who is in the final.
The Bar will be open from 12pm. Food will be on sale too.
We do need volunteers on the day to umpire matches please. This mainly involves keeping the score – players call their own lines. So if you could help with this, please get in contact with Twitter or Facebook or speak to Joel Durston (07753 275718) or Chris Roe (0775 3104478)
Presentation of trophies will be after the Mens Doubles – so about 6pm.
Please come along and support the players. More active supporters can also play swing ball, table tennis, pool and darts. Or just relax and have a drink. The World Cup final follows in evening.
